Stephen Shelton joined B. Riley Advisory Services in 2019 as Managing Director. Shelton is responsible for building relationships in New York and the greater Mid-Atlantic region including DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA (Philadelphia) and Washington, DC., mostly focusing on lenders, private equity, and banking clients.

Shelton brings over 30 years of experience in lending, investment banking and financial consulting industries. His extensive background includes origination, underwriting and portfolio experience with PNC Business Credit, GE Capital and BBVA. Throughout his career, he has specialized in marketing financial products to senior management of middle-market companies and private equity sponsors and has a successful track record of developing market areas and industry segments. Prior to joining the team, he was the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Marquette Business Credit, where he established a loan production office in New York City.

He is a member of the Secured Finance Network (SFNet).

Shelton earned his BBA degree in Accounting from Baylor University.
